Our recommendations for replacing your nose piercing
When replacing the jewelry, it is important that:
- You use freshly washed hands.
- Spray with India's disinfectant spray and wash clean with a cotton pad.
- Disinfect your new jewelry with rubbing alcohol such as Chlorhexidine.
- Carefully insert your new jewelry.
It is important that you always have a piece of jewelry in your new hole. In the first year, the healing process is fragile and sensitive, and it is not unusual for irritation to occur during the healing period. During the healing period, it is not unusual for it to be sore. After about a week, some exudate may appear. This is completely normal and should not be confused with pus. Your new piercing is easy to care for. Spray with India's disinfectant spray morning, evening and after showering. Spray and let air dry. Do not use tops, cotton or anything else. Any scabs can be gently washed off in the shower with lukewarm water and mild perfume-free soap. The most important thing during the healing period is that you do not touch your newly removed piercing with unwashed hands. You should not screw or twist the jewelry, it can not heal firmly. Avoid using creams and makeup in connection with your new piercing.
When you pierce a nose wing, it takes about 6-12 months for it to heal 100% and it is not uncommon for irritation blisters to occur. These can be treated and do not mean that you should automatically take it out.
What do I do if I get an irritation blister on my nose piercing?
1. clean your piercing thoroughly with our spray or sodium chloride (saline solution) and clean the jewelry in the shower.
2. apply
Tea-tree oil or zinc ointment with a cotton bud every evening for about 14 days. Always perform a skin test on the Tea-tree oil as it may be strong in direct contact with the skin. If irritation occurs, be sure to mix the oil or spray with our spray afterwards so the oil is mixed out.
3. keep the oil on during the night and wash the piercing clean on the mogon.
It is not uncommon for irritation blisters to occur around the nose wing as the healing time on this is long and you have a lot of bacteria in the nose.
After about 8 weeks if it feels good, you can change your jewelry, most of our customers then choose to put in a ring. We have a large selection of rings and the recommendation is then to put in a clicker. We recommend these because it is easy to put in with a simple click function. We have clickers in all different sizes.
If you experience that the nose screw goes out, you can put a skin-friendly piece of tape during the night. If desired, you can also have a labret rod inserted that has a plate on the back and a ball that is screwed on.
The tissue inside the wing of the nose is sensitive, so you should wait at least 8 weeks before replacing the jewelry.
